Thai Class - Online Course

Description

*Including mid-term and final exams, students must pass the exams to enroll in advanced courses (please do not apply if you cannot take the exams).

*Teaching Method: Face-to-face teaching or, in case of severe pandemic conditions, online instruction via Zoom. The Hong Kong Thai Cultural Association has the final decision-making authority regarding the mode of instruction. Face-to-face and online instruction will not occur simultaneously.

*Application Deadline: Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are not enough students, the class start date may be postponed.

*Instruction will be in Cantonese.

*The goal is a comprehensive understanding of the Thai language, including listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills. Topics include self-introduction, shopping, transportation, asking for directions, ordering food, and more.

*Course fees include the textbook.

*Certificates are issued by the Thai Cultural Association and the curriculum is regulated by the Thai Ministry of Culture.

*Class location: Hong Kong Thai Cultural Association Thai Culture Exchange and Learning Center (Jordan) or, in the event of social activities, pandemics, weather, or other unforeseeable circumstances that disrupt normal classes, the Hong Kong Thai Cultural Association will notify students to use online video conferencing software for instruction. Online teaching software may include Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, etc.

*The Hong Kong Thai Cultural Association will decide the mode of instruction for the day based on the situation before class, and reserves the final decision-making authority in this regard.

*Teacher qualifications: Over eighteen years of experience teaching Thai, former lecturer at Chulalongkorn University, and graduate of the University of Hong Kong.

*Default payment is to be made in one lump sum.

*Under no circumstances will fees be refunded, transferred, changed, or rescheduled, and no makeup classes will be provided.

*The Hong Kong Thai Cultural Association Limited reserves the right to cancel or shorten courses or workshops with fewer students.

*In the event of Typhoon Signal No. 8, Black Rainstorm Signal, or teacher absence on the day of class, the class will be postponed by one week or conducted online using video conferencing software. Students will be notified as soon as possible. Please pay attention to announcements.

*Each level takes approximately 4-6 months to complete.

*Our basic Thai classes have a total of six levels. Students must meet our requirements to advance to the next level. Details will be explained in the first class.

*If a student misses a class for any reason and there are any changes to the course content in that class, the decisions made in the class must be accepted by the student.
